How slotrave.casino handles the data of its readers in Finland
This page explains what personal data we process when you visit the site, why we need it, how long we keep it and what rights you have under the GDPR. We don’t require registration, and we don’t use any analytics or advertising tools.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is the operator of slotrave.casino (the “site”) – in other words, “we”. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it and who we may share it with. We apply the standards of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”), together with the Finnish Data Protection Act (tietosuojalaki), which supplements it. Where the laws of another country give you a higher level of protection, we comply with those as well.
The site is an independent information project about the Slotrave online casino – it is not the casino. You cannot open a player account, deposit money or place bets with us, and we do not verify your identity. All of that is handled by the casino operator, a separate controller that processes the data you give it under its own privacy policy. If you have any questions about that policy, write to support@slotrave.com.
What data we process
We process only the data we strictly need. Either you give it to us yourself, or your browser sends it automatically:
- technical data that your browser sends when a page loads (IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, browser language, the page you came from, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit); the server may store this data in its operational logs;
- data you send us yourself by email (your email address, your name if you provide it, and the content of your message).
We do not ask you for sensitive data (special categories of personal data under Article 9 of the GDPR), payment details or identity documents. The site does not require registration – you can read it without telling us anything about yourself.
Purposes and legal bases
What we use the data for, and the legal basis under Article 6(1) of the GDPR that we rely on:
- running the site and keeping it secure, for example protecting it against attacks and malicious automated traffic – legitimate interest (point (f));
- handling the emails you send us – our legitimate interest in being able to reply to you (point (f));
- complying with our legal obligations – legal obligation (point (c)).
We do not use any analytics or advertising tools. We do not sell your data to anyone, we do not send you marketing emails, and we do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Cookies and browser storage
The site does not set any cookies. It stores only two technical entries in your browser’s local storage (localStorage): “nv-cookie” remembers that you have acknowledged the cookie banner, and “nv-mini” remembers whether you have collapsed the side menu on a computer. Both stay on your device, are never sent to our server and cannot be used to identify you. For details and instructions on how to delete them, see our Cookie policy.
Recipients and data transfers
Apart from us, only the processors who provide hosting and technical administration for the site have access to the technical data – under a contract and strictly on our instructions. We do not share data with third parties for their own marketing. Where required by law, we may disclose data to public authorities.
The site loads its fonts, images and scripts from its own server, so your IP address is not passed to external content providers while you read our pages. If any of our processors were to handle data outside the European Economic Area, we would rely on a European Commission adequacy decision or other appropriate safeguards – usually the standard contractual clauses adopted by the Commission. On request, we will tell you which safeguard applies in your case.
When you click a link to the Slotrave casino or another external website, you leave slotrave.casino. Links to the casino are affiliate links and may pass through a redirect server that records that you came from us. From that point on, the operator of the website concerned handles your data under its own policy.
How long we keep your data
We keep data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless the law requires a longer period:
- server logs – for no more than 12 months;
- email correspondence – until we have dealt with your enquiry, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case we need to come back to the matter;
- localStorage entries – these remain only in your browser until you delete them (see our Cookie policy).
Once these periods have expired, we delete the data or anonymise it irreversibly.
Data security
We take data security seriously: connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS), only a few authorised people have access to correspondence, we collect only the minimum of data necessary and the site runs on reliable hosting. These technical and organisational measures protect data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals, we will notify the supervisory authority without undue delay and, where feasible, within 72 hours of becoming aware of it. If the risk is high, we will also inform the people affected.
Your rights
The GDPR gives you the following rights, and exercising them is free of charge:
- the right of access to your personal data and to a copy of it (Article 15);
- the right to have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed (Article 16);
- the right to erasure in the cases set out in the GDPR (Article 17);
- the right to restriction of processing (Article 18);
- the right to data portability for data processed on the basis of consent or a contract (Article 20);
- the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Article 21);
- the right to withdraw your consent at any time, if we ask you for it; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal (Article 7(3)).
You can exercise your rights by emailing support@slotrave.com. Please include enough information for us to match your request to the right data – for example, the email address you wrote to us from. We will reply within one month; for complex or numerous requests, we may extend this period by up to two further months, in which case we will let you know.
Complaints
If you feel we are not handling your data properly, please write to us first at support@slotrave.com – we will try to put things right quickly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Finland, that is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto). You can also complain in another EU member state if you live or work there, or if the alleged infringement took place there.
Minors
The site and the gambling it covers are for adults only – in Finland, you must be at least 18 years old to gamble. We therefore do not knowingly process the personal data of minors. If a minor nevertheless sends us data, we will delete it without delay as soon as we become aware of it; a parent or legal guardian can also alert us at support@slotrave.com. Our responsible gambling section explains how to play responsibly and where to find help.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy if the law, the guidance of supervisory authorities or the way the site works changes. The current version is always available here, with the date of the last update at the top of the page.
